Mr. Mohamed Ali Janah is an internationally recognised Maldivian entrepreneur and developer. With over 30 years of experience in resort and real estate development, he is Chairman of JIH. Known for his creative vision and ability to deliver quality and excellence, Mr Janah leads the strategic direction and growth of JIH and its affiliated divisions. He has delivered projects which have become the benchmark for excellence in the tourism and real estate industry in the Maldives and globally.

Mr Janah is a leading figure in the construction and tourism industries, holding several portfolio board and advisory roles including as UN Tourism Special Advisor, Member of the Global Advisory Council for the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, President of the Maldives National Association of Construction Industry (MNACI), and President of the National Federation of Maldivian Employers (NFME).

Mr Janah has been recognised for his work through various awards notably:

• The distinguished Maldives National Award of Recognition by the Government of Maldives (2017)

• Maldives Entrepreneur of the Year (2018)

• Yeoh Tiong Lay International Federation of Western and Asian Pacific Contractors Award for Excellence (2022)

Ms Nurain leads JIH’s growth, investment and global expansion strategy.

She is also the Group Vice Chair at HARIM where she oversees operations across HARIM's various divisions. With over a decade of experience in corporate governance, finance, and strategy, she specialises in transforming businesses for sustainable growth across complex industries.

A Chartered Accountant, Ms Nurain holds a Bachelor of Science in Economic Geography, a Masters in Accounting, and is a Fellow Member of CA Maldives and a Certified Member of the Institute of Finance Professionals of New Zealand (INFINZ). She is the Founder & Director of Rehendhi Consulting, an international social impact and ESG consultancy.

Ms Nurain is a professional director serving on multiple industry and international boards including as:

Mr Jasim Janah heads the asset development and management division, and leads the diversification strategy for JIH.

Mr Jasim is also Chief Commercial Officer of Hotels & Resorts Investment Maldives (HARIM), JIH’s affiliate company. In this role, he drives HARIM’s commercial strategies internationally; particularly across the Maldives, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and the UK, ensuring a competitive edge in all ventures. He also heads the project management consultancy division of HARIM overseeing multiple luxury real estate development projects.

Mr Jasim is the CEO of HARIM’s marine division, Polaris Navigators, establishing HARIM as a strong newcomer in the luxury marine market with design and build high end speedboats, and luxury yacht chartering.

Mr Jasim holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and International Business. His career spanned real estate and investment sectors. He has previously worked at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise, New Zealand’s Ministry of Housing, and a major investment fund in Shenzhen, China, focused on technology and automotive industries.

Mr Jasim is also an accomplished entrepreneur, having successfully founded and led two enterprises. In 2019, he received the NZ Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia and was selected for the National University of Singapore’s Entrepreneurship Program and the Stanford Entrepreneurship Program ASES Melbourne Chapter.
